I have no problem opening other excel files except for xlsb. I have several excel files with this extension and when I open them, a prompt appears saying "This workbook contains content that isn't supported in this version of Excel - ActiveX - open as read only or cancel". If I click cancel, the file will close/quit.

I heard there's been third party (non-Apple non-MS) plugins for Safari and Firefox but I am sure how it works and if that is SAFE -- because in most of my cases, I need ActiveX for authentication purposes. Everytime I had to switch to a windows machine.
